Wanna Make Amazing Figure Out of Polyurethane Foam?
Today I am giving you help if you wanna make amazing diy project with Polyurethane Foam . My sister put these on walls in her tattoo studio. And it looks badass. When you see it you simply MUST touch it to see if it’s real. I am so glad she remebered to take few photos so you can see how she did it. Enjoy.
- Polyurethane Foam
- Wood Glue
- Toilet Paper
- Acrylic Paint
- Painting Varnish
How to do it:
Pour out an polyurethane foam on smooth surface because if you put it on rough surface you won’t be able to seperate it once it is dry. Wait until it’s dry (1-2 days). When it’s dry, seperate it from surface and begin with shaping.
Shaping is done with Scalpel (big or small). You usually don’t need to work so much on details when you are making something with polyurethane foam but protrusions and recesses you should. It is not necessary to shape it in one piece with horns, you can add(glue) them later. Don’t mind if you cut off a bit more than you planned, you can fix that with some glue and toilet paper.
When you are satisfied with the shape you made, you take wood glue, brush and toilet paper, separate paper on layers and pile on smaller pieces. First, our advice is that, instead of putting glue on whole figure first, you put glue on small part only, so that glue won’t get dry. So, as we said, put a glue on a small part and cover it with paper (part by part). When you are done with first layer, leave it to dry, but not full dry and glue another layer on your figure. Use paper if you want to make some details.
